In this letter, L. again discusses the osmotic phenomena through which the flesh fibers are nourished by the blood vessels, this time in fish.

A contemporary translation of this letter is found in London, Royal Society, Early Letters, L.4.66, 8 pages. According to the description on the Royal Society’s website, EL.L4.65, the letter was read during the meetings of the Royal Society on 8 March and 11 April 1721 (O.S), which must be in error; Journal Book Original, vol. 13.
Seven figures came with this letter. L. did not send drawings, but a single engraving accompanied this letter. The figures 1-7 are to be found on the plate with no. 368 of Philosophical Transactions.
